Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake said he had audio recordings of six telephone conversations between him and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Speaking in Parliament, Ramanayake made a special statement about the "leaked" phone recordings which have sparked a major controversy.
However, Ramanayake admitted that he did not have any conversation with President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
Ramanayake welcomed the Prime Minister's statement to appoint a Commission to probe the leaked phone recordings.
He said he would gladly testify before the commission and present his files.
Ramanayake also added that a private TV station was responsible for the leaked phone recordings and apologized to everyone inconvenienced by the developments.
