The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has recorded a five-hour statement from Embilipitiya High Court judge Gihan Pilapitiya.

The CCD has questioned the judge on the leaked telephone conversations belonging to MP Ranjan Ramanayake.

Pilapitiya came under severe criticism when the phone recordings indicated that he had discussed matters relating to certain high-profile cases with the UNP MP.

Meanwhile, judges Padmini Ranawakaa and Dhammika Hemapala are also under investigation on the same matter.
