Speaker Karu Jayasuriya today informed Parliament that he was not in a position to release the forensic audit report of Treasury bonds transactions from 2002 to 2015 to MPs.
The Speaker said the Attorney General has advised him not to make the report available to Parliamentarians.
He said the AG said indicated that the report would be used in relation to future legal proceedings pertaining to the bond transactions.
President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa prorogued Parliament a day before the forensic audit report was taken up before COPE, headed by JVP MP Sunil Handunnetti.
