The Colombo Crimes Division has launched an investigation into 132 CDs recovered from the official residence of Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake.

The CDs apparently contain a number of telephone conversations with senior police officers, judges, politicians and influential persons.

Some of them are currently in circulation on social media.

The investigations are taking place under the supervision of Acting IGP Chandana Wickremaratne.

Several ruling party Mps have demanded investigations into the controversial telephone conversations involving the UNP Parliamentarian.
