Two individuals who were arrested by the CID for speaking at the controversial white van press conference have been released on bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate.
At a press conference held before the last Presidential election, the two suspects spoke to the media as if they were involved "white van abductions".
Former State Pharmaceutical Corporation Chairman Rumy Mohammed, who was also arrested by the CID over the same issue, has been released on bail along with the two suspects.
The former Chairman was arrested for giving money to the two suspects to speak at the press conference.
The press conference was convened by former Minister Rajitha Senaratne who was also granted bail by the Magistrate.
