Parliamentarian MP Champika Ranawaka's driver Thusitha Kumara has been released on bail under "strict conditions'.

Thusitha Kumara was remanded over the 2016 accident which has triggered a fresh investigation into Ranawaka.

Ranawaka was recently arrested over the same accident but was subsequently released on bail. Ranawaka was charged with influencing the initial police investigation into the accident and presenting Thusitha Kumara to the Police as the person who drove the vehicle at the time of the accident.
