UNP Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake has been granted bail by the Nugegoda Magistrate.

The Police arrested Ramanayake yesterday for possessing a pistol whose license had been expired.

Ramanayake said it was his official weapon provides by the government.

The government came under severe criticism over the arrest of the UNP lawmaker on a trivial charge.
