Former Chairman of the State Pharmaceutical Corporation Rumy Mohammed has surrendered himself to the CID.

Mohammed was under probe over the investigation pertaining to the controversial white van press conference, initiated by former Minister Rajitha Senaratne.

It has been revealed that Mohammed allegedly gave money to the two individuals who have been arrested for appearing in the press conference.

Mohammed headed the SPC while Rajitha Senaratne was the Minister of Health.

Senaratne was presented before the court yesterday over the same matter and was granted bail.
