The Attorney General has directed the CID Director to obtain an arrest warrant and arrest former Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne.

The arrest will be made in relation to the controversial white van investigation which he initiated before the Presidential election.

Senaratne has already filed three anticipatory bail applications seeking to prevent his arrest.

Two individuals who appeared alongside Senaratne at the same press conference have already been arrested by the CID.
