In a bizarre turn of events, a group of young "wall painters" have erased hazard stripes under the Dehiwala flyover for a wall painting.

Hazard stripes are displayed to ensure the safety of pedestrians walking under the bridge. They were painted alongside a pedestrian crossing under the bridge.

Social media activists claimed that a Local Government politician was behind what they described as a "moronic act."

"Wall paintings" by street artists, which gained popularity after the new government's ascension to power, has received mixed reactions from the public.
