Sports Minister Dallas Alahapperuma today inspected the Sugathadasa sports hostel where Sri Lankan players were housed before leaving for the South Asian Games.
According to reports, 13 players suffered from Dengue during the tournament. Some of them were not able to take part in their regular events due to the unexpected development.
Authorities believed that Dengue virus was contracted in Colombo and not Nepal.
It was observed during the visit that some areas in the Sugathadasa Stadium hostel were in an appalling condition.
