The Gazette notification with regard to subject allocation of ministries is expected within the next two days.

The subjects and functions of state ministers will also be included in the same Gazette.

The subject allocation is carried out at the sole discretion of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is expected to hold the highest number of state institutions under his ministry.
