The verdict of the bribery case involving former President's Chief of Staff I.K. Mahanama and former Timber Cooperation Chairman P. Dissanayake will be delivered on December 19.

The case is heard before the Colombo Special High Court. The bench comprised Sampath Abeykoon, Sampath Wijeratne and Champa Janaki Rajaratne.

They were arrested at a car park in Colombo while accepting a bribe of Rs. 20 million.

The two senior officials were prosecuted under 46 charges and over 50 witnesses were called upon to give evidence.
