The Ministry of Media is likely to be placed under Bandula Gunawardena, top government sources said.

Gunawardena has already been appointed the Minister of IT, Higher Education and Innovation.

Meanwhile, the gazette notification pertaining to the subject allocation of the new Cabinet is expected tomorrow.

It is reported that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa will have the highest number of state institutions under his ministry.
