Police Media Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said the purported letter by intelligence authorities, which is currently being circulated on social media, is fake.

The purported letter addressed to the President predicts the outcome of the upcoming Presidential election.

It says SLPP candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa will win the Presidential election with over 7 million votes.

The Police Spokesman, in his statement, asserted that stern action would be taken against those who generated the fake letter.
