President Maithripala Sirisena is expected to address the nation before the upcoming presidential election, sources close to him said.

They added that the President was likely to address the nation on the evening of November 13.

The President decided to remain neutral when the SLFP decided to support SLPP Presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

It is not immediately clear whether he will express support to any particular candidate during his address to the nation.
