Foreign Affairs State Minister State Minister Wasantha Senanayake said he would never join the UNP again.
Addressing a press conference in Colombo, Senanayake said he was ill-treated by the UNP.
Senanayake revealed that the party leadership sent a number of people to his personal residence and persuaded him with various promises when he attempted to broke ranks with the UNP.
"I have very controversial audiotapes and videos pertaining to those discussions," Senanayake said.
It is learnt that the UNP State Minister was planning to join the Sri Lanka Podujana Party (SLPP).
