NDF Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa yesterday lashed out at some public TV stations claiming that they spread lies against him.

Addressing an election rally, Premadasa said these channels publicized malicious reports indicating he agreed to "13 conditions" put forward by Tamil political parties. He said their only intention was to discredit him by spreading lies.

"Sajith Premadasa is not someone who bows down to conditions. When they gave me the Presidential candidacy, there were talks about conditions. But, I flatly refused them. In the end, they had to give Presidential candidacy to me," Premadasa added.

He said one TV station was attacking him as they wanted 'presidential pardon' for someone who is in jail.
