The sri Lanka Freedom Party is set to initiate disciplinary action against former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga after the 'rebel convention' tomorrow.
An organization that identified itself as the 'Movement to Protect SLFP' will hold a convention tomorrow at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium under the patronage of former President Kumaratunga.
SLFP seniors are also livid at the agreement signed by Kumaratunga with the New Democratic Front, without any authorization from the party. President Maithripla aSirisena had convened a Central Committee meeting last week to discuss the former President's actions.
Several SLFP seniors said the former President's actions might lead to her expulsion from the party.
