NDF Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today renewed his challenge for his SLPP counterpart Gotabhaya Rajapaksa for a pubic debate before the Presidential election.

"It is over 24 hours since I challenged @GotabayaR to a presidential debate. He is yet to respond. #SriLanka's voters deserve a President who is unafraid of defending their ideas. They deserve a President with the courage to face challenges rather than flee in the face of fear, " Premadasa tweeted yesterday.

The NDF candidate first challenged the former Defence Secretary yesterday, However, Rajapaksa is yet to respond to his main contender's challenge.

Although Asian Mirror contacted several senior figures of the SLPP to ask if Rajapaksa would accept the challenge, they remained vague about the matter.
