A Memorandum of Understanding between SLPP Presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the SLFP was signed, a short while ago. SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera signed the MOU on behalf of the SLFP alongside Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Seniors of the SLFP and the SLPP attended the brief function in Colombo. This comes in addition to the MOU signed between the SLPP and the SLFP recently.

The SLFP has already pledged support to Rajapaksa for the upcoming Presidential election.
