TNA Parliamentarian S. Viyalendran has pledged support to SLPP candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Viyalendran defected to the Rajapaksa camp during the constitutional crisis late last year and extended support to the purported government led by President Maithripala Sirisena and Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He has now officially sided himself with the SLPP candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Viyalendran is expected to support Rajapaksa's campaign in the North and East provinces.
