The Court of Appeal verdict on the validity of SLPP presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's citizenship is expected today at 6 PM.

The Court of Appeal will decide whether to grant the petition challenging Rajapaksa's citizenship interim relief.

The Court of Appeal began hearing the case on October and submissions have been presented by multiple parties over the past two days. the case was filed by two civil society activists Prof. Chandraguptha Thenuwara and Gamini Viyangoda.

Rajapaksa's chances of running for the presidency hinge on the outcome of the case.
