Former UPFA MP Neomal Perera is tipped to join the UNP pledging support to Sajith Premadasa's presidential campaign.

Perera was the Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister in the government led by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He failed to secure a parliamentary seat at the last Parliamentary election.

Issuing a statement earlier this week, Premadasa invited everyone who deserted the party in the recent past, to rejoin the campaign and work towards the victory of the party.
