SLFP stalwart Ranjith Siyambalapitiya will today appear before the Presidential Commission probing corruption between 2015 and 2018.

Siyambalapitiya, a supporter of President Maithripala Sirisena, has been summoned before the Commission over allegations of misappropriations at the Ceylon Electricity Board during his tenure as the Minister.

He was the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy under the national unity government which ended on October 26, last year.

The Commission has received complaints that there have been a number of irregularities when purchasing power for the CEB.
