Leaders of the United National Front have agreed to accept the UNP candidate whoever he may be, informed political sources told Asian Mirror.

They have also informed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe that they have no objections to the candidacy of UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa.

UNF party leaders met at Temple Trees this evening, under the auspices of Prime Minister Wickremesinghe.

Wickremesinghe has informed the party leaders that the UNP will make its final decision at the Working Committee meeting.

The next Working Committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday (24).
