The Public Services Commission (PSC) has ordered to interdict Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe from her position as the Solicitor General.

The Attorney General requested the PSC last week to initiate an inquiry into Wickremasinghe after an audio clip containing a conversation between Wickremasinghe and the Avant Garde Chairman took social media by storm.

The Attorney General's Department sources said the move would facilitate a free and fair investigation into the issue.

Wickremasinghe also served as the Director General of Bribery Commission.
