The final report of the Parliamentary Select Committee probing the Easter Sunday attacks will be presented to Parliament before the end of October.

The committee's official term was extended earlier this week to allow it to obtain a statement from President Maithripala Sirisena who is also the Cabinet Minister of Defence.

The PSC members obtained a statement from the President today at the Presidential Secretariat.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, former Law an Order Ministers, a number of politicians and high-profile officials have testified before the PSC.
