ACMC Leader Minister Rishad Bathiudeen said his party would make a final decision on the candidate once the Presidential election is declared.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of an event in Colombo, Bathiudeen said no concrete decision has so far been made on any contentious matter.

"As of now, we are a member of the United National Front coalition and we will serve in the government. Any decision on or future course of action would be made once the election is declared," he added.

Commenting on Sajith Premadasa's candidacy bid, Bathiudeen said the UNP should arrive at a final decision on the matter.

"Our decision will be based on the UNP's decision."

The Minister declined to comment when the media asked if he received an invitation from Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa to form an alliance.
