The daughter of National Thowheed Jamaath Leader Zaharan Hashim was placed under the custody of her grandparents following a court order.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake today ordered to hand over Zaharan Hashim's four-year-old daughter to the parents of the suicide bomber's wife.

DNA samples were obtained from Zaharan Hashim's daughter to ascertain the identity of the suicide bomber's body.

Hashim, the mastermind of the Easter Sunday attacks, blew himself up at Shangri-la Hotel, Colombo, on April 21.

His wife and daughter were taken into police custody following the explosition in Sainthamarathu.
