Former Agriculture Minister Duminda Dissanayake is expected to appear before the Presidential Commission probing corruption between 2015 and 2018 today to give a statement on the controversial lease pertaining to the Agriculture Ministry building in Rajagiriya.
Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Ekanayake also appeared before the Presidential Commission probing corruption between 2015 and 2015 earlier this week to give a statement on the same matter.
The current government came under fire for renting the building at an exorbitant monthly rate of Rs. 21 million.
The building is owned by popular actress Sabeetha Perera who is known to have close political ties with both parties.
Perera too was summoned before the commission a few weeks ago to obtain a statement on the same matter.
The Cabinet paper pertaining to the lease agreement was presented by the Cabinet by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
