President Maithripala Sirisena said there was no point in hurrying about the presidential election as the poll is two months away.
Addressing the All Island Executive Committee of the SLFP yesterday, Sirisena said the party should not rush into any decision on the Presidential election.
The meeting was held to confirm the appointments made at the party Central Committee meeting on Monday.
The most important thing, Sirisena said, is to prepare the party to meet the challenges the country is confronting right now.
