The seventh round of discussion between the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) cocluded successfully earlier today, political sources said.
The discussions are aimed at forming a common alliance to contest the upcoming Presidential election.
The meeting between delegates representing the two parties will be followed by a meeting between President Maithripala Sirisena and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The meeting took place at the Opposition Leader's Office in Colombo 07.
