Solicitor General Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe has withdrawn her letter of resignation yesterday, sources from the Attorney General's Department said

Wickremasinghe has withdrawn her letter before it was sent to the Public Services Commission (PSC).

It was widely speculated that Wickremasinghe resigned from her position to contest the upcoming Presidential election.

Wickremasinghe is also the former Director General of the Bribery Commission and she resigned from her post when the President attempted to interfere in several high-profile cases.
