The Gustav Mahler Orchestra of Colombo, which comprises of 70 of the best orchestral musicians in Sri Lanka, will have its 2019/20 Season Opening Concert at the Royal College Nawarangahala on Saturday 24th August.

The concert, conducted by Srimal Weerasinghe, will feature a programmes of Beethoven, Mahler and works by Sri Lankan Composers Harsha Makalande, Sachiththa Fernando and Lalanath De Silva.

Rachel Halliday, Harsha Makalande, Ravibandu Vidyapathy and Jithendra Vidyapathy will be performing as soloists.

Tickets, priced from Rs. 800 to Rs. 2500, are available at the Commons Coffee House on Flower Road and online on tickets.lk. All proceeds will go towards the Gustav Mahler Society Educational Programme which covers several schools, school orchestras, wind bands throughout the year.
