The Ministry of Finance said fuel prices would be revised today according to the price formula.

The price formula was introduced by Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera allowing the fluctuation of fuel prices in the local market in line with the global market prices.

However, fuel prices in the global maket have seen a minor rise in the recent past giving rise to speculations that the fuel prices in Sri Lanka would be increased tonight.

Last month, the Finance Ministry decided to reduce fuel prices under the same formula.
