Six individuals including three policemen have been hospitalized following a clash in Wellawatte last night.

Police sources said the clash was triggered by a personal dispute between two groups.

There were speculations earlier that the clash involved a mosque in Kirulapona. The Police, however, vehemently denied the rumours.

Security forces stepped in rapidly last night and controlled the situation.
