The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna today signed an agreement with 10 other political parties to form an alliance.

A party spokesman said the alliance would be formed aiming to secure victory at the next Presidential election. ]

The 10 political parties are minor parties that are not represented in Parliament.

The signing ceremony took place at the Opposition Leader's official residence in Colombo.

The event took place amidst the SLFP's moves to form an alliance with the SLPP.
