The case involving former Defence Ministry Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and IGP Pujith Jayasundara over Easter Sunday attacks has been postponed to October 03 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne this morning.
When the case was taken up today, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) informed the Magistrate that it had recorded a complete statement from the former Defence MInistry on the incident.
The CID is yet to conclude the interrogation of IGP Pujith Jayasundara over security lapses leading to the Easter Sunday attacka.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General has filed a revision application in the Colombo High Court against the Colombo Chief Magistrate's decision to release Fernando and Jayasundara on bail.
