The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) has decided to refrain from reaccepting ministerial portfolios until issues faced by Sri Lankan Muslims are fully resolved.
Speaking to Asian Mirror, a senior SLMC member said the SLMC had reached the decision after extensive deliberations.
The Muslim MPs who recently resigned from their ministerial posts later decided to re-accept their positions following multiple requests from the Prime Minister and the UNP.
Muslim MPs representing the UNP have already re-accept their positions.
