Former Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal has been dropped from the 22-member squad named for the ODI series against Bangladesh.

Chandimal was excluded from the Sri Lankan squad for World Cup citing his "mediocre performance" in the shorter format of the game.

Meanwhile, Niroshan Dickwella. Akila Dhananjaya and Dhanushka Gunawardena, who were not included in the World Cup sqaud, have been recalled to the side.

Jeevan Mendis, Milinda Siriwardena and Jeffrey Vandersay who represented Sri Lanka in the World Cup have been dropped from the ODI squad.

Dimuth Karunaratne will captain the Sri Lanka team for the Bangladesh tour as well.
