Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's second son Yoshitha Rajapaksa today got engaged to Nitheesha Jayasekera at a brief ceremony.

Only members of the former President's family and some of his close associates attended the function.

"YoshithaR couldn’t be happier for you on this extremely special day!The most amazing journey is ahead of you,with someone extremely special to take that journey with you. @nithiesha welcome to the family! You’ve always been such a blessing. Wishing you both nothing but the best," Yoshitha's brother, Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa tweeted this morning.

Details of Yoshitha Rajapaksa's wedding ceremony are yet to be announced.
