The Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) today informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate that it had launhed a comprehensive investigation into Abdul Razzik, the leader of the Ceylon Thowheed Jamaath.
Multiple parties, including the Bodu Bala Sena organization, lodged complaints against Razzik claiming he was directly linked to extresmist militants in Sri Lanka.
They added National Thowheed Jamaath leader Zaharan Hashim maintained close links with Razzik's group before the former started his own organization.
Razzik was also summoned before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Easter Sunday attacks.
Testifying before the committee, Razzik said he was not involved with any extremist group.
