The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna's No-Confidence motion against the government has been taken up for debate in Parliament.
The No-Confidence motion against the government was presented last month over the government's failure to ensure national security.
The JVP mooted a No-Confidence motion against the government in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday attacks.
Commenting on the matter, a senior Parliamentarian of the UNP said the government would easily defeat the JVP-backed No-Confidence motion.
The debate on the motion is currently underway in Parliament.
