Nine senior Police officers, including three DIGs, would be charge-sheeted next week over security failures leading to the Easter Sunday attacks, .Asian Mirror learns.
The Attorney General has recommended the Acting IGP to initiate action against them based on the findings of the panel of inquiry appointed by the President.
Police sources added that disciplinary action would be initiated against the nine senior Police officers through the National Police Commission (NPC).
The nine officers involve three DIGs, namely Deshabandu Tennakoon, Lalith Pathinayake and Priyalal Dissanayake.
