The Presidential Commission of Investigation probing into corruption today recorded a statement from UPFA MP Udaya Gammanpila over allegations against ACMC Leader Rishad Bathiudeen.
The complaint against Bathiudeen was lodged by Buddhist monk Thiniawala Palitha Thera.
The complaint involved allegations of land grabbing in the Eastern province and amassing wealth through questionable means.
Gammanpila left the premises after giving a two-hour statement to the commissioners, our sources saod.
Gammanpila, a strong critic of Bathiudeen, was asked to appear before the Commission this morning and give evidence against the Parliamentarian. The UPFA MP publicly said he would not sit in a government of which Rishad Bathiudeen is a stakeholder
