Former Defence Ministry Secetary Hemasiri Fernando and IGP Pujith Jayasundara have been remanded till July 09.

Fernando is currently undergoing treatment at the Colombo National Hospital and Jayasundara at the Police Hospital, Narahenpita.

Security has been beefed up at the Cardiology Unit of the National Haspital Colombo and the Police Hospital where the two of them are undergoing treatment.

No one, except for family members and lawyers, is allowed to meet the two former defence bigwigs who were arrested yesterday over the Easter Sunday attacks.
