South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, who arrived in the Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo, was welcomed by the Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the VVIP lounge.
Two leaders engaged in a discussion on many important issues including Freedom of Navigation and peace keeping in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. New development initiatives in Sri Lanka have also been a subject to the discussion.
South African President offered his condolences over the Easter Sunday Attack and inquired about the steps taken by the Sri Lanka Government to address the issue. President Ramphosa accompanied a 20 member delegation. Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Arjuna Ranatunga was also present .
