The United States and Japan have relaxed their travel advisories on Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) announced.
Travel advisors were imposed by a number of countries on Sri Lanka following the Easter Sunday explosions which claimed the lives of over 250 people including 40 tourists.
The two countries have revised their travel advisories as the country has returned to normalcy.
The travel advisories issued by a number of key tourism markets have severely affected the tourism industry of Sri Lanka, forcing the Tourism Development and Christian Affairs Ministry to revise its targets for 2019.
