The case against author Shakthika Sathkumara was postponed till July 09 by the Polgahawela Magistrate today.

Although the preliminary investigations into the case have been concluded, the police said they were waiting for instructions from the Attorney General's Department.

The writer was charged under the ICCPR Act of 2007 over a short story he wrote recently. A group of Buddhist monks lodged a complaint with the police that the short story was an insult to Buddhism.

However, his appeal will be case before the Kurunegala High Court tomorrow.
